Not all builders are the same. Over a number of years we have successfully worked closely with a large number of builders we prefer to work with. We have asked our preferred builder to accommodate us on several important areas:

1. Allocation of client deposit, especially when clients have a small deposit to work with

2. The schedule of progress claims between the bank and the builder to match

3. The Code of Compliance being the required completion of the build project rather than "practical completion"

4. Not omitting items, or including too many PC or PS sums so we can have greater confidence on the pricing

5. Builders who work co-operatively with the lending to reduce the stress and hassle many clients experience with uncooperative builders

6. The builders must offer an acceptable third party guarantee, often through the Registered Master Builders and Certified Builders
